VileVeil (https://www.vileveil.com) is an independent electronic music blog with genre guides, club guides, artist bios and news. This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit the site and what your rights are.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Claudiu, the individual who runs VileVeil, based in Spain. You can contact us at [email protected]. Spanish law and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) apply.
What the site does and does not do
The site currently has no shop, no checkout, no user accounts, no comments, no newsletter and no forms that collect data. The only way to contact us is by email. A clothing shop may return in the future. If it does, we will update this policy and our terms before it opens.
Hosting and security
The site is a set of static files stored on Amazon Web Services (S3, in the EU and US) and delivered through Cloudflare, which provides a content delivery network, security and bot protection. To do this, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical request data such as browser type and requested page. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site fast, available and secure.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 with Google Consent Mode v2 to understand which pages are read and how the site is found. Before you give consent, analytics and ad storage are denied. In that state Google may still receive cookieless pings. Analytics cookies (_ga and ga*) are set only after you accept the “analytics” category in the cookie banner. The legal basis is your consent.
Marketing
The Meta (Facebook) Pixel loads only after you accept the “marketing” category. It sets cookies such as _fbp and is used to measure and improve our ads and reach on Meta platforms. The legal basis is your consent. If you do not accept, the pixel does not load.
Cookies and your choices
A cookie banner (vanilla-cookieconsent) asks for your choice when you first visit. It stores that choice in a necessary cookie called cc_cookie. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Emails you send us
If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply. We keep the conversation as long as needed to deal with your request.
International transfers
Google, Meta, Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare may process data outside the European Union. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on standard contractual clauses.
Affiliate links
Some articles may contain affiliate links, for example to products such as headphones. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This does not influence what we write.
Advertising
The site may show display advertising in the future. If so, we will update this policy and the cookie banner first.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing done before. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].
You also have the right to complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD): www.aepd.es.
If you live in California, note that we do not sell personal information.
Children
The blog is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site changes, for example if a shop or advertising is added. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
